Barcelona will try and sell winger Ousmane Dembele for €20m (£16.7m) before the January window closes, according to reports in the French media.
The Catalan club are keen to ensure the 24-year-old doesn’t leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer in July, and they are willing to listen to any offers for the player.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with Dembele in recent days, with manager Thomas Tuchel a big fan of the player after having worked with him at Borussia Dortmund, but fans on Twitter are divided on whether he is worth the money:
Really hope we go for it

That’s quite a high figure for an emergency ward inhabitant.

Other clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, have also been tipped to snap up Dembele but Chelsea are likely to be in the driving seat due to Tuchel’s connection with the player.
Dembele has described the German as his “favourite manager” but the strong personal link doesn’t mean it would be a wise move for both parties. The Frenchman’s high salary demands and poor injury record means supporters are right to be concerned about signing the winger.
