Liverpool remain interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports in the Italian media.
It was claimed earlier this month that the Reds were tracking the Serbian international, and it is believed that there could be more developments when the player’s agent Mateja Kezman sits down with Lazio for talks in early July.
Milinkovic-Savic is a key player for the Serie A side and it is said that the club’s president Claudio Lotito will only sanction a sale if a team offers in the region of €80m (£69m).
Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have also been linked with the Serbian over the past year or so but the strongest interest currently is coming from Jurgen Klopp’s side and Juventus.
The Reds are said to be keen on finding a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, and Milinkovic-Savic would definitely be an interesting option, considering he scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 41 games last season
