Liverpool will have been disappointed to have not gone further in this season’s Champions League, having been knocked out at the quarter-final stages by a very average Real Madrid team.
Two other English clubs did make it to the final, though, and Andy Robertson has been speaking on who he thinks will win the match in Porto tomorrow evening between Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Scotland captain is in contact with his international teammate, Billy Gilmour, but when he asked if he could see his fellow Scot lifting the Champions League trophy, the fullback said he was backing City to come out on top:
“I’d love to see wee Billy be the next Scot to win the Champions League but I think Man City will win.”
To be honest, most Liverpool supporters won’t be interested in the outcome of the final, with there being very little love lost between the Reds and the two opponents.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will be keen to make sure they are the ones back competing for the big prizes next season when, hopefully, they have a fully fit squad to challenge on all fronts.
