Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson won’t be available to face Chelsea next month following the postponement of the Boxing Day clash against Leeds.
The 27-year-old is currently serving a three-match ban following his sending off versus Tottenham last weekend. The first game of the suspension was served last night when the Reds played Leicester in the Carabao Cup.
If the Leeds game had gone ahead, Robertson would have only had to miss the league match against Leicester on December 28th before returning for the trip to Stamford Bridge. Now, he will be sidelined for the Chelsea clash instead. Fans on Twitter had a mixed reaction to the news, with some disappointed that the fullback won’t be available, while others think Kostas Tsimikas will provide good enough backup:

It was always a possibility that there would be a postponed game during the festive period, and Robertson’s ill-judged challenge against Spurs has now come back to haunt him. Hopefully, it doesn’t cost his team when they take on Chelsea.
