Watford are open to selling winger Ismaila Sarr this summer, according to reports in the English media.
The Senegalese international has been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester United over the past year, with some tipping him to be Sadio Mane’s successor at Anfield.
Sarr was valued at around £40m at the start of this season, but after a campaign that has seen him score 13 goals and provide 10 assists for the Hornets in the Championship, it is believed he could well cost more. Fans on Twitter have been discussing whether he’d be worth the investment:
Bargain shopping yet again.

Liverpool don’t even want to pay £40m and watford would want £60-70m now to pick up the phone – so won’t happen

Been pretty average this season, don’t see how that’ll get him a big move.

We have 3 wide players (4 if you include Elliot/Musialowski). We need a striker. An absolute lethal one like Klopps version of Lewandowski at Dortmund.

No point this season. We need depth especially when Salah & Mane leave for AFCON. Sarr doesn’t help that case because he’ll go with them.

At 23 years of age, Sarr certainly has the best years ahead of him, and he is at the stage of his development which usually interests Liverpool’s recruitment department.
Many supporters would love the club to go after a marquee signing like Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland or even Kylian Mbappe but, with the finances simply not being there, players like Sarr are more likely to be targeted.
