BBC pundit Garth Crooks has included both Ibrahima Konate and Sadio Mane in his “team of the week”.
The two Liverpool players played a key role in helping the Reds secure their place in the FA Cup final. Konate scored the opener in the 3-2 win over Manchester City, with a header from a corner.
Mane, meanwhile, had an outstanding game, The Senegalese international closed down City keeper Zack Steffen to score the second goal of the match before delivering a rasping shot from just inside the box to put his team 3-0 up in the first half.
Three Chelsea stars, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount and Timo Werner, were also picked by Crooks after the Blues’ 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace in the other semi-final.
Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster, Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski, Brentford captain Pontus Jansson, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, Brighton winger Leandro Trossard and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo made up the rest of the eleven.
