Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has very little room to manoeuvre with his team selection after he confirmed that the likes of Ozan Kabak, James Milner and Naby Keita won’t be fit to face Manchester United this evening.

There are unlikely to be many changes from the win over Southampton as a result. Alisson will start in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson as the two fullbacks.

Klopp could be tempted to play Fabinho in the centre of defence, but his lack of midfield options may lead him to continue with the pairing of Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams despite their obvious lack of experience.

The midfield is likely to comprise of Georginio Wijnaldum, Thiago and Fabinho. Neither Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain nor Curtis Jones have played much football in recent weeks so it would be tough to ask them to start in such an important game.

Up front, Roberto Firmino’s ability to come deep for the ball will be important for the Reds to get a foothold in terms of possession so the Brazilian could be favoured ahead of Diogo Jota. Sadio Mane and Mo Salah will play on the two flanks.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play United:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Williams, Phillips, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Mane
