Liverpool are one of four clubs who hold a “serious interest” in Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi, according to Laola1.at.
The Austrian website reports that the Reds are maintaining their pursuit of the German international, along with Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.
Some fans on Twitter are hoping the Merseyside club make their move for Adeyemi in January, while others believe that the teenager is likely to join a Bundesliga club instead:
He could be the next Mo!

Salzburg’s sporting director Christoph Freund has ruled out the possibility of Adeyemi leaving the Austrian club in the January transfer window, which is a disappointment considering Liverpool need to reinforce their frontline ahead of the African Cup of Nations.
The Reds could be without Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita for up to eight games, which would clearly damage their Premier League title ambitions. There are other forwards on the market but Adeyemi, who is rated at around €40m (£34m) by his club, is one of the most highly sought after young players in Europe. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have also been linked with the German in the past few weeks.
