Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has praised the attitude and skill of Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Ramsdale, who has trained with Alexander-Arnold at international level, claims the Reds defender is the ultimate competitor, whilst also being supremely gifted on the ball:
“So aggressive. He is the most competitive person I have ever met in my life. Fifa, two touch, etc. I would take his technique any day of the week.”
Every Liverpool fan will already know about Alexander-Arnold’s superb technical ability, but it is interesting to hear from Ramsdale that the right-back has a fierce competitive streak as well.
Top players need that edge in their game; to push themselves to improve as a footballer but also to be part of a winning team; demanding just as much of others as themselves in their attempts to win titles.
At 23 years of age, Alexander-Arnold has pretty much won everything in the game already but, going by Ramsdale’s remarks, he is not someone who will become complacent and rest on his laurels. It seems that, in all likelihood, he’ll continue to get better as a player over the coming years.
