Liverpool, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping close tabs on Frank Kessie’s situation after he rejected AC Milan’s latest contract proposal, according to reports in Italy.

The Ivorian international’s current deal at the Serie A side expires at the end of the season and he will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in the New Year.

Kessie has reportedly turned down a €6.5m a year (£107,000 a week) offer from Milan, with the 24-year-old said to be demanding around €8m a year (£132,000 a week), plus another €2m (£1.7m) in performance-related bonuses.

The Reds are likely considering the player as a potential option to strengthen their numbers in midfield, and the fact that he is available on a free transfer makes him an attractive target.

While Liverpool and Spurs are thought to be the two Premier League clubs who have shown the most recent interest in Kessie, the Ivorian has also been on Arsenal and Chelsea’s radar in the past.
