Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal have all contacted the representative of Palmeiras winger Luis Guilherme, according to reports in the Brazilian media.
The 16-year-old has not yet signed his first professional contract and it appears the three Premier League clubs have asked to be kept informed of any developments regarding the player’s future.
Guilherme is one of the standout talents coming through Brazil’s youth system at the moment. The teenager helped win an Under 20 tournament for Palmeiras at the start of this year, and he has now played a significant role in Brazil’s Under 16s winning the Champions of the Montaigu Tournament.
The midfielder bagged two goals against England in a 3-0 win during the competition, as well as scoring another in the final versus Argentina a couple of days ago.
English clubs cannot sign players from abroad before the age of 18, so Liverpool’s interest in Guilherme won’t be formal at this stage. He could, however, become a target in a couple of years’ time.
