Liverpool are “considering” whether to make a bid for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.
The Frenchman has been mentioned as a possible transfer target for Chelsea this summer, and he is also reportedly on Juventus’s radar.
Tchouameni is believed to be valued at around €30m (£25.4m) by Monaco, which would not be a significant outlay, considering the other midfield options that the Reds are thought to be looking at.
Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez is said to be valued at €45m (£38m) and his wages are reportedly well beyond what the Merseyside club can afford.
Renato Sanches would only cost slightly less than Niguez, with an asking price of €40m (£34m), while Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus may cost a similar amount.
A move for Tchouameni does, therefore, seem to be a logical move for the Reds, based on the finances involved, although they could face some fierce competition for his signature.
