Liverpool are interested in signing Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak, according to the Mirror (via The Boot Room).
The Swedish international has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent months, while Manchester United have also been keeping tabs on the player.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s side are said to be very keen on Isak too, with the Mirror claiming that the player could well be sold for around £60m this summer.
That is roughly £15m below his current release clause but it seems Real Sociedad are prepared to sell him in order to raise funds for their own transfer business.
Whether Liverpool actually need a forward like Isak, it is questionable. The Reds already have the likes of Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi in the first-team squad.
Even if two or three were to leave at the end of the season, competition for places would still be fierce and it is hard to see where Isak would fit in.
