RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku is “hopeful” that he will be sold for around €60m (£50.6m) this summer, according to ESPN.

The website claims that the Frenchman is being pursued by the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

However, it is believed that Leipzig will try and hold out for a fee in the region of €75m (£63m) if talks over a new contract don’t lead to Nkunku extending his stay with the Bundesliga side.

The player is, though, betting on his club accepting an offer below their current valuation as he thinks that he could be priced out of a move otherwise.

If Nkunku is available for £50m, it would certainly be a figure that Liverpool would be prepared to pay. At 24, he is the right age, and his form this season has been outstanding, having scored 26 goals and contributed 15 assists in 39 appearances.
