Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry is not expected to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, despite his contract running into its final year, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports Germany reporter is the journalist that revealed Liverpool and Manchester United’s interest in the former Arsenal player back in February. However, he claims that, while the 26-year-old has still not made a decision on his future, he won’t be moving clubs anytime soon:
Update #Gnabry: Been told that he still has not taken a decision. And he didn’t decide that he won’t extend his contract. Talks with #FCBayern are ongoing and „serious“. A move in summer 2022 „is not realistic“. No negotiations with @realmadrid. #TransferUpdate @SkySportDE 🟨

Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has expressed Bayern’s desire to keep Gnabry but, so far, they have not given into his contract demands. The German international is believed to be demanding the same wages as Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane, who are both earning around €15m a year.
If the two sides don’t come to an agreement, he could well leave when his current deal ends in 2023, with Liverpool likely keeping an eye on things in view to snapping him up on a free transfer.
