Liverpool do have the ability to finance a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to reports in England.
Most sources believe that Dortmund could hold out for around £90m to sell the 18-year-old next summer, but the Reds may be able to sign the player if payments are made in instalments.
While some supporters on Twitter are excited by the possibility of signing Bellingham, others are sceptical over whether the player is actually worth the price:
Literally that’s one position nailed down for 8 years

No way he’s too expensive and wouldn’t add tremendous quality to the squad, a 35-50m pounds for bissouma and another 60m for tielemans would make more sense should we spend 90m+ for one player…

Strong, powerful, pace, ability to create and score goals and dictate play in centre of the park. Just because he’s English think it’s unfair to tar him with the overrated brush. Closest thing I’ve seen to Stevie G in terms of attributes. Plenty of room to improve too.

I’m not sure about that Declan Rice is valued at 80-100 million? Bellingham is 18yo playing in champions league got years of him and he should only get better.

It should be pointed out that the £90m could be paid over a five year period. Dortmund agreed to sell Jadon Sancho for £73m last year, with Manchester United paying it off in five yearly instalments.
While the cost may not be an issue, though, there will be competition from other clubs. The likes of United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to be keeping tabs on Bellingham, with the midfielder having been in excellent form so far this season.
