Liverpool have reportedly joined the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham in pursuing RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer.
The Austrian international is a holding midfielder by trade and the majority of fans on Twitter think he could be an excellent addition to the squad this summer:
Perfect Henderson replacement.

No wonder klopp wants him look at those pressing stats, hasn’t played many minutes think that’s why his xA and xG so high must come off bench a lot unless I’m mistaken. Him or vitinha looks like our alternative to Bellingham singing tho would still like nkunku for bobby pic.twitter.com/LJlSritCHH

Laimer is unlikely to cost a great deal, considering his contract expires in 2023, so that would make him a pretty attractive signing, along with the fact that he is still only 24 years of age.
Liverpool are making a habit of signing players from the Red Bull group, but that shouldn’t surprise anyone as the type of players they sign do tend to perform well in Jurgen Klopp’s system.
Whether Laimer is top of the list of priorities to strengthen the midfield, we shall have to wait and see. Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni, Lille’s Amadou Onana and Brighton’s Yves Bissouma have also been mentioned as potential options in recent months.
