Barcelona’s new head coach Xavi is reportedly keen on bringing Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara back to the Camp Nou.
The 30-year-old only moved to the Reds in September last year, but he has struggled to make the sort of impact that many were expecting. There has been a mixed response from fans on Twitter about whether the Spaniard should be allowed to leave:
Please keep

Depends partly on what Thiago thinks. If he’s keen to stay and be a key player, then keep him. He’s a world class playmaker.

Thiago’s fitness record has been poor since he arrived at Anfield, and that seems to be the main bone of contention when it comes to deciding his future, among some supporters.
While his quality is not in doubt, his ability to help Liverpool win trophies is hampered by the fact that he can’t stay fit for a lengthy period of time. Now he has returned from a calf problem, it will be hoped that we’ll see the best of him in a Liverpool shirt over the next few weeks and months.
