Wolves winger Adam Traore is angling for a move away from Molineux this summer, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.
The former Aston Villa striker claims the fact that the Spanish international has not signed a contract extension is a strong indication that the player is keen on changing clubs:
“Adama Traore, he hasn’t sorted out his new contract. You can tell he wants to leave. So, I think Wolves are going to be in big trouble this season.”
Liverpool have been consistently linked with Traore ever since manager Jurgen Klopp expressed his admiration for the 25-year-old before a league game against Wolves a couple of years ago.
Chelsea, meanwhile, were considering a bid for the Spaniard earlier this summer, although the Blues’ interest is said to have cooled in recent weeks.
With Traore having less than two years remaining on his current deal, Wolves are not currently under pressure to sell up. There had been murmurings that the winger could be available for as little as £25m due to the club’s financial situation, but other reports have suggested he could cost as much as £40m. For that price, you can’t see the Reds making a move for him.
