Watford winger Ismaila Sarr is “aware” of the interest being shown in him from Liverpool according to Transfermarketweb.com.
The website reports that the Senegalese international has even gone as far as “asking permission” to leave the Hornets in order to force through a transfer to Anfield.
Sarr has been on the Reds’ radar since last summer, and with the Merseyside club keen on recruiting a new forward before the transfer window closes, they have reportedly decided to make their move for the 23-year-old.
Transfermarketweb claim that an offer of £40m has been made, although it remains to be seen whether this is in fact the case. They are not the most reliable so it would be wise to take this story with a large pinch of salt.
Manchester United have also pursued Sarr in the past but their capture of Jadon Sancho means that Liverpool are unlikely to face much competition for the Watford player.
