Liverpool have drawn up a three-man shortlist as they seek a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking on his ‘Here We Go’ podcast, the Guardian reporter only mentioned one player by name, Brighton’s Yves Bissouma, but he says the Reds are also looking at two other players:

“Liverpool are planning to sign a new midfielder. They have a shortlist with three names – one of them is Bissouma from Brighton. It’s an open race with many clubs but Liverpool have scouted him.” [@IntChampionsCup] pic.twitter.com/s26TdGDFFm

Bissouma is also thought to be on the radar of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United but, as Romano points out, the £40m rated Malian is only being scouted by Jurgen Klopp’s side at this stage so there is no suggestion that a bid is imminent.
It is almost certain that one of the other names on the shortlist is Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus, with reports in Germany claiming talks with the 24-year-old’s agent have taken place.
The third option may be Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez or Porto’s Fabio Vieira; both of whom have been linked in the Spanish and Portuguese media respectively.
