Photos purportedly showing Liverpool’s home shirt for the 2022/23 season have leaked out online and supporters are not particularly impressed.
Nike’s latest effort is pretty bland, with no collar nor any distinctive design features, and fans on Twitter are very underwhelmed by the kit:
So plain. Nike can do much better than this 😕

Nike has set the bar so low, the best thing about this is the Lfc red color. NB was just on another level.

The Nike design team definitely earning their salary with that creative effort…..🤨

It’s red. There’s not much else you can say. It does look like the ’05 reebok kit but, it’s bland but OK.

Feel like Nike delivered something different from their dreaded usual templates for the first couple seasons and now they’re falling back into their ways.

They’ll say simple, I say boring. Nike just haven’t lived up to expectations for me.

So plain, I honestly expected so much more from Nike

It’s a red T-shirt

Way too simple imo

It is a pretty inoffensive home jersey, and it seems as though Nike have gone pretty safe this year, after flirting with some green trim on their 2020/21 design, and some orange on their most recent kit.
As many have pointed out, Nike’s efforts so far have paled in comparison to the ones that New Balance came up with before the club opted for the change in shirt manufacturer.
Whether the 2022/23 jersey actually ends up looking exactly like these leaked pictures, we shall have to wait and see but, with the kit expected to be out in a matter of months, it is more than likely to be the final design.
