Porto winger Luis Diaz would much prefer a move to Liverpool than Tottenham, according to reports in the Portuguese media.
The Reds have been linked with a bid for the Colombian international, along with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle, but Spurs are the only team to have made an official approach so far.
Antonio Conte’s side are said to have had a €45m (£38m) proposal turned down, but Diaz is reportedly not interested in making the switch to London, even if they do return with an improved offer.
The 24-year-old is keen on playing for a team who is performing at a higher level than Tottenham, and Liverpool would fall into that category. However, at this stage, Jurgen Klopp’s side don’t appear to be ready to step up their interest in the player.
With that being the case, Diaz may opt to remain at Porto until the summer when he may have better options available to him.
