Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez remains a target for Liverpool, according to Calciomercato.com.
The Italian rumour mongers claim that the Reds could make a move for the Argentian international with the player “still there on the list” of possible replacements for Roberto Firmino.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his admiration for Lautaro in the past, and there could be a chance of securing the 24-year-old’s services at the end of the season.
While the forward remains happy at the San Siro, Inter need to raise funds for other transfers and Calciomercato claim a fee in the region of €90m (£75m) would be enough to tempt the Serie A champions into selling up.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham were heavily linked with Lautaro last summer, but there is no mention as to whether the two rival Premier League clubs would challenge Liverpool if Klopp’s side do make a bid this summer. We shall see how this story develops.
