Tottenham are interested in signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma before the transfer window closes tomorrow, according to reports in the UK.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are all said to have enquired about the Malian international this summer but it seems Spurs are the ones who could secure his signature.
Reds supporters on Twitter feel it would be a big mistake if Liverpool don’t get involved in the race to sign Bissouma:
We shouldn’t let this happen

It’s evident that we need midfield cover. This would have been ideal signing.

With manager Jurgen Klopp saying himself that he is expecting a quiet end to the transfer window, it seems very unlikely that the Merseyside club would open the chequebook for Bissouma.
The 25-year-old’s asking price is said to be around £40m and the Reds are not believed to be prepared to fork out that much, especially when Klopp feels he already has enough cover in midfield.
Bissouma has been widely praised, with Ian Wright even saying last week that he would be a perfect fit for Liverpool but it seems that the Malian could be going elsewhere.
