Tottenham striker Harry Kane is still very much a target for Manchester City, according to reports in the German media.
The 28-year-old is thought to be open to making the switch to the Etihad while manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his desire to sign another forward in recent days.
Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland has been widely tipped to be the main priority, though, and a number of fans on Twitter would much rather the club go after the Norwegian than pursue Kane:
A big NO from me.

Hopefully Levy doesn’t answer his phone again.

It’s likely that City are hedging their bets when it comes to Kane and Haaland. The latter is still believed to be favouring a move to Spain so if he does end up moving to Real Madrid or Barcelona, the Premier League champions need to have other options.
Whether Kane should be considered as the main alternative, though, it is up for debate. The cost of the transfer is likely to be very high, while he does turn 29 next summer.
