Manchester City have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in pursuing Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old has not yet made a senior appearance for the Nerazzurri, despite moving from Uruguayan club Nacional last January. He has, though, been excelling at youth level, scoring eight goals in 18 appearances for the Under 19s.

Satriano was first linked with a move to the Premier League back in February and, at the time, the forward did speak about the interest, stating he would like to play in England one day:

“It is always flattering (the interest from the Premier League), yes, it is a sign that I am doing things well and that I have to continue down that path. I try to use it as an incentive to keep working and be better every day.”

“The Premier League is the No.1 league in the world in terms of competition, that I think all the players want to play, I think all the teams are very good. It is a very competitive league where any team can beat anyone. But for now, I am totally focused on Inter and to do the best with them.”

City would certainly be strong contenders were Inter to consider offloading the striker. The Serie A side are thought to be in a difficult financial position due to the impact of the global health crisis, and they could be open to selling players to raise funds.

However, Satriano may well be seen as a key prospect for the future, so a sale this summer is far from guaranteed. We shall have to wait and see if the Citizens make a concrete offer for the player.
