Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne have been selected in WhoScored.com‘s Team of the Week.
While Silva’s inclusion is well deserved after another excellent game from the Portuguese star in the Manchester derby at the weekend, it is De Bruyne’s display that really stood out.
The Belgian international scored two goals and provided an assist in the 4-1 victory over United, and WhoScored, quite rightly, have given him an almost perfect score of 9.87 for his performance. It was a scintillating 80 minutes from the midfielder, who was simply unplayable at the Etihad on Sunday evening.
In terms of who else was named in the team. Three Chelsea players (Reece James, Thiago Silva and Christian Pulisic) were included, along with Tottenham pair Matt Doherty and Harry Kane.
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, Newcastle defender Fabian Schar, Watford left-back Hassane Kamara and Aston Villa striker Danny Ings made up the rest of the eleven.
