Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been included in the Champions League Team of the Season.
The team was selected by UEFA’s “Technical Observer panel” and they decided to pick the Belgian international as the only representative from the Manchester club, despite the Citizens reaching the semi-finals of the competition:

Four Liverpool players were named in the lineup, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Fabinho all making the eleven.
Real Madrid also had four players selected, following their victory in the final, including goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, midfielder Luke Modric, as well as forwards Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jnr. Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe took up the final two places in the team.
While City supporters will still be disappointed with the way they exited the tournament this year, they should be more confident about Pep Guardiola’s side going all the way next season, especially after signing Erling Haaland.
