Milan and Atletico Madrid have been the two clubs that are heavily linked with a move for the Spanish international. It’s however reported that Arsenal have made a decision on the future of Hector Bellerin despite the serious interest from Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Hector Bellerin has lost the right back spot of Arsenal as he was many times benched last season by Mikel Arteta as the Spanish coach didn’t trust him and it has been claimed in recent years that he might prefer to try out a new place after having been in London for close to a decade. There has been rumours that Hector Bellerin has already received an offer from Inter Milan and that he would accept it but a new report has provided new information on the future of the right back.

The Guardian is now reporting that Arsenal want to offer Hector Bellerin a new deal to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium and that the technical director of the North Londoners Edu Gaspar met with the representative of the Spanish fullback on Thursday to inform him of their intentions. It’s claimed that the gunners hope that offering Bellerin a new deal will be able to convince him to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

The Austrian international has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea in recent months, with the Austrian international having entered the final twelve months of his contract, but Rummenigge claims he is now more hopeful that the 28-year-old will stay.

“With Alaba, I am cautiously optimistic we will find a solution.”

City are believed to be still keen on Alaba but they are not actively pursuing the Austrian. They are waiting to see whether Bayern make him available for transfer rather than allowing him to leave on a free transfer next year.

However, the player himself may have other ideas. There have been claims in Spain that Barca have told the fullback to sit tight so the Catalan club can snap him up for nothing when his contract expires. Whether that actually happens, we shall have to wait and see.
