Manchester City are likely to prioritise a move for Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer, according to multiple reports in the English media.
Manchester United, West Ham, Liverpool and Arsenal have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the England international in recent months but the Citizens have now emerged as the frontrunners.
There has been a rather mixed reaction to the pursuit of Phillips among fans on Twitter, with some questioning whether it is worth splashing out on the 26-year-old:
Don’t think it’s a good move

Phillips still has two years left on his contract at Elland Road so Leeds could still command a decent fee for the player. Some reports have suggested that he could cost as much as £60m.
For that price, you would think that there are better options out there, but, as things stand, it does seem as if City will press ahead with a bid for Phillips over the coming weeks.
