Manchester City are one of a number of teams who are interested in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to reports in Italy.
The Swiss international is out of contract next summer, leading to a scramble for his signature, which includes Manchester United, Arsenal, Roma, Juventus and the Citizens.
Fans on Twitter are very much split on whether a move for Zakaria is a good idea. Some believe Rodri needs to have another defensive midfielder to help him out, while others feel the club should be focusing on other areas of the pitch:

The fact that Zakaria is available on a free transfer makes it a much easier decision to go after him. City have been tracking the 24-year-old for over a year so it is unsurprising to see their name mentioned in terms of potential suitors.
Whether they will firm up their interest in the player may depend on how they feel about Zakaria’s recent performances. He returned from a serious knee injury last year and he has yet to regain his best form.
