Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany has named ex-Chelsea winger Eden Hazard and four former Manchester City teammates in his dream 5-a-side team.
The ex-Belgian international was asked by Rio Ferdinand to pick his side on his FIVE YouTube channel, and he replied:
“Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne…got to put Kun Aguero, got to put David Silva. Can I be coach? And Yaya [Toure], no ‘keeper, I don’t need a keeper.”
The inclusion of Hazard is not much of a surprise when you realise that he played alongside the 30-year-old for many years for Belgium. Considering his recent poor form for Real Madrid, though, Kompany may want to reconsider his choice!
In terms of the City players chosen, you can’t really argue with any of the picks. De Bruyne may have been Kompany’s teammate for both club and country, but he has been one of the best players in the world over the past five years.
Aguero is City’s all-time leading goalscorer, Silva is the ultimate playmaker while Toure was one of the most complete footballers English football has ever seen.
