Roma have joined the race to sign Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to reports in the Italian media.
The German international has a year left on his contract at the Etihad but there has been no indication that the player will sign an extension.
Gundogan has confirmed that he is weighing up his options as he considers whether to leave the Premier League champions in order to get more game time elsewhere.
Roma are unlikely to be top of his list of potential destinations, though. The Serie A club did win the Europa Conference League last season but they will be playing in the Europa League next campaign.
Barcelona are also said to be keen on Gundogan if they offload Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United, whilst Juventus have been credited with an interest in the German. Staying in England could be a possibility as well, with Arsenal reportedly keeping tabs on his situation.
