Manchester City are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong this summer, according to multiple reports in the English media.
There has been some speculation in Spain over the past week linking Manchester United with a bid for the Dutchman but it is now believed that City will also consider going after the 24-year-old. Most supporters on Twitter would be very pleased if de Jong does make the switch to the Etihad:

De Jong was a target before he made the move to Barca three years ago, and it appears that City are keen to make a second attempt to secure his signature.
It remains to be seen whether his club would be prepared to sell the midfielder. There are claims that de Jong could be available for around €70m (£60m) but most believe that Barcelona will only let him leave if they are forced into cutting their wage bill.
