Premier League clubs are yet to decide whether they will allow crowds back into grounds for the last round of fixtures in May.

The UK government will be lifting lockdown restrictions on sporting events on May 17th, and with the final day scheduled for May 23rd, it was expected that up to 10,000 fans will be hosted at each top-flight game.

However, there are concerns that it could give certain teams a competitive advantage with European places and relegation still to be decided.

One example is that Fulham will be hosting Newcastle at Craven Cottage on the final day and, with both teams struggling at the bottom, it could well determine who goes down. Having Fulham supporters in the ground could aid the home team.

A vote is, therefore, scheduled to take place to decide whether fans will be let in. 14 out of the 20 Premier League teams would have to approve the measure to enable crowds to return for the final day.
