Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias put in an impressive showing during the 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium last night.
The £62m summer signing has hit the ground running since arriving from Benfica, and supporters on Twitter were quick to praise the 23-year-old’s display following the game:

Dias is still relatively young by centre-half standards but he looks to have the physicality and technical ability to be a key player for City in the Premier League for years to come.
The Portuguese international won two tackles, made one interception, made three blocks as well as making five clearances versus the Reds and he certainly looked to be in his element despite facing a very dangerous opposition attack.
If both Dias and Aymeric Laporte can stay fit, it could well be the start of a very important centre-back partnership who could help City secure many more clean sheets than in previous campaigns.
