Manchester City youngsters Ferran Torres and Phil Foden have been named in the top 10 of the “Most Valued” young players in European football by CIES Football Observatory.

The Swiss-based research group have valued every youngster playing in the top five leagues in Europe. Torres came sixth in the list, with his value now €106m (£95.4m). Foden, meanwhile, is ninth, valued at €70.3m (£63.3m).

Torres’s valuation, in particular, is striking considering the Citizens only paid £20.8m for the Spaniard, which demonstrates what a bargain they got when they snapped him up from Valencia in the summer.

There are actually four Premier League players in the top 10 with Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood fifth (€115.3m) and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka seventh (€95.8m). Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is the next highest-placed Premier League star in 14th.

Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies tops the list, valued at a whopping €180.4m, while former City starlet Jadon Sancho is second (€125.6m). Barcelona forward Ansu Fati rounds out the top 3, with a value of €122.7m.
