Ralf Rangnick’s first game as Manchester United manager will be against Arsenal next Thursday, according to Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger.
The German reporter claims that Lokomotiv Moscow have agreed to release Rangnick but not before the Red Devils face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend:
🚨 Lokomotiv Moscow board have agreed to let Ralf Rangnick go to Manchester United. The way is clear now. The German gonna sign his contracts at the beginning of the new week (probably on Monday). He will be in charge first time for #MUFC versus Arsenal. @SPORT1

Rangnick has reportedly agreed to take charge on an interim basis until the summer. He will then take up a role as a consultant for the next two years, with it being suggested that he’ll have a big say on who his successor will be.
Paris Saint-German head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax manager Erik ten Hag are believed to be among the favourites to replace Rangnick but, for the time being, the focus will be on what the German can do for the club in the short term.
