Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure to get a result against Liverpool tomorrow, following some disappointing recent form.

David De Gea has been excellent this season, despite those around him not matching his standards, and the Spaniard is expected to start in goal.

Raphael Varane is still sidelined with a groin problem, so Victor Lindelof will partner captain Harry Maguire in the centre of defence. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw will be the two fullbacks.

Fred is an injury doubt and it will probably force a reshuffle in midfield, with Nemanja Matic stepping in to play alongside Scott McTominay. There are also concerns over Bruno Fernandes’s fitness but he is unlikely to miss such a big game. Expect him to play as the number 10.

With Marcus Rashford unlikely to feature from the start, Solskjaer may opt to play Paul Pogba on the left-wing, with Mason Greenwood on the right flank and Cristiano Ronaldo through the middle. That could lead to Jadon Sancho missing out once again.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Liverpool:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fernandes, Matic, Greenwood, Ronaldo, Pogba
