Manchester United “sent a senior scout” to Wolves’ game against Brighton at the weekend, according to the Birmingham Mail‘s Alex Dicken.

The journalist believes two players are likely to have been watched by the Red Devils: Ruben Neves and Yves Bissouma.

Neves has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford for a while, with Arsenal and Barcelona expected to be the Red Devils’ main competition for the Portuguese international’s signature.

Dicken claims Wolves are NOT asking for £100m to sell the 25-year-old, with a bid in excess of the £45m they received for Diogo Jota likely to be accepted.

In terms of Bissouma, there is far less detail. The Malian international is known to be a player of interest to United and, with his contract at Brighton expiring in 2023, he could well be available for a knockdown price this summer. It remains to be seen if new manager Erik ten Hag will be keen on signing either midfielder.
