Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be fit for the game against Norwich City on Saturday.

The Portuguese international injured his shin in the 1-0 defeat to Everton last weekend but it is not expected to prevent him from starting United’s next match.

Luke Shaw is believed to have undergone a minor operation to remove two bolts from the leg he broke all the way back in 2015. It remains to be seen when he will return to action.

Raphael Varane did not feature at Goodison Park due to a knock but no detail has been given on the nature of the injury or how long he will be out for. He is a major doubt for the game versus the Canaries.

Fred (hip) and Scott McTominay (foot) are also in the same boat and it is not clear whether they will win their respective fitness battles ahead of the weekend.

Edinson Cavani remains sidelined with a calf problem he picked up whilst playing for Uruguay in the last international break.
