Ex-Manchester United striker Michael Owen expects his former club to come out “comfortable” winners when they take on Norwich at Carrow Road this evening.

The BT Sport pundit says the Canaries are blunt up front and he can’t see them posing much of a threat to the Red Devils, who are improving under the guidance of Ralf Rangnick:

“They’ve improved under Dean Smith but are comfortably the league’s lowest scorers. Ralf Rangnick made a perfect start to his tenure last week in what wasn’t a classic game. United already looked more organised though and I’m sure we will see more improvements here. This looks like a comfortable win for United to me.”

Owen has gone for a 2-0 victory to United, which seems like a decent prediction considering Norwich’s poor scoring record and the strength that the away side have in attack.

It will be interesting to see whether Rangnick does persist with the 4-2-2-2 system that he tried in the first league match against Crystal Palace.

Norwich are pretty decent in possession and the formation could force United into having to play a counter-attacking game. That might be exactly the plan, though, winning the ball high up the pitch and hitting the Canaries fast on the break.
