Ruben Neves is “ready to leave” Wolves this summer, according to 90min.com. The website claims that the Portuguese midfielder, who has 26 caps for his country, has told his club he wishes to “explore other options”.

There is no favourite to sign the 25-year-old at this stage, but Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all said to be monitoring his situation.

The Red Devils are expected to be in the market for at least one midfielder at the end of the season. However, reliable reports have suggested that Leeds’ Calvin Phillips and West Ham’s Declan Rice would be their preferred options.

Nothing can be ruled out at the moment, though, with incoming manager Erik ten Hag having not yet signed off on any transfer targets. It has been confirmed that the Dutchman will get the final say on all signings so it remains to be seen whether Neves features in his plans.
