Real Madrid are “looking closely” at the possibility of signing both Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger on free transfers, according to Marca.
The Madrid-based publication claim that the La Liga club are “far more confident” about securing Pogba’s services than they were back in the summer, with his agent Mino Raiola no longer thought to be a problem.
Pogba is believed to be keen on a move to the Bernabeu and has stalled negotiations over extending his contract at United to see whether Real will come in for him.
The Spanish side still need to assess whether the transfer is financially viable, considering the wages, agent and signing-on fees involved, but it seems that a move is increasingly likely.
Both Pogba and Rudiger are said to be key targets for Real, who have changed their policy on Bosman signings following the success of David Alaba, who joined on a free from Bayern Munich back in July.
