Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino is now almost certain to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season, according to L’Equipe.

The French publication claims PSG’s exit from the Champions League last night “seems to seal the fate” of the Argentinian, with it looking “more and more likely” that he has presided over his last European game for the Ligue One club.

Pochettino is one of the main candidates to become Manchester United’s next manager, along with Ajax’s Erik ten Hag, and it’s likely that the Red Devils will press ahead with their plans to appoint the former Spurs boss.

United have reportedly stepped up their search for a new head coach in recent weeks and, if Pochettino’s departure from PSG in the summer is as certain a L’Equipe claims, then it stands to reason that the Manchester club will seek to hold talks with the 50-year-old as soon as possible.
