Sky Sports Italy reporter Gianluca Di Marzio believes Benfica striker Darwin Nunez will be moving to the Premier League this summer.
The usually reliable journalist says that the Uruguayan, who has scored 34 goals this season, is set to make a switch to an English club:
“Darwin Nunez will play in the Premier League. I don’t know where, but at a club that needs a striker for their new project.”
Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle have all been linked with Nunez in recent months and supporters on Twitter have been debating whether the Red Devils will be in for him:
So either us or Newcastle

I have some doubts about him, but if Ten Hag wants him, that’s enough for me. Hopefully he can become prime Cavani

It would be a greatest mistake for him if he didnt choose to play for Manchester United

Reports suggest that Benfica could hold out for as much as €100m (£84m) for Nunez, which is a substantial outlay but, at 22 years of age, he would fit the profile that United are looking for.
Whether having no Champions League football will have a bearing on the Uruguayan international’s interest in moving to Old Trafford, we shall have to wait and see. He does, though, appear to be near the top of United’s list of targets.
