Amazon Prime‘s documentary ‘Rooney’ will premiere on Friday this week, with the show expected to give an unprecedented insight into the career of the Manchester United legend.
Directed by BAFTA award winner Matt Smith, it includes exclusive interviews with Wayne himself, along with his parents, wife as well as former teammates and managers.
David Beckham, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Thierry Henry, David Moyes and Sven-Goran Eriksson are all involved in the documentary as they reflect on Rooney’s career.
It is expected to cover the ex-England star’s early life growing up in Liverpool, to his breakthrough at Everton before blossoming into a world-class player during his thirteen years at United.
