Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are “readying moves” for Metz midfielder Pape Sarr, according to the Daily Mail.
The Red Devils were first linked with the teenager back in April and it seems that scouts have been keeping tabs on the player’s progress since then.
Sarr only made the switch from his native Senegal back in September last year, but he has had an instant impact in France, making 27 appearances for Metz over the past year.
The central midfielder was also handed his first senior cap for his country back in March, with many seeing the player as having a very bright future in the game.
United are said to be considering strengthening their options in the middle of the park, but it had been assumed that the Manchester club would wait until next summer to reinforce that area of the pitch.
Sarr would be one for the future anyway so perhaps the opportunity to sign such a promising young player will be too good to turn down.
