Manchester United will be sending their chief scout to watch Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer in “the coming weeks”, according to FCInterNews.it.
The Italian website believes that Inter Milan are keen on the Brazilian but they expect to face competition from the likes of United, Tottenham and Bayern Munich.
Bremer only signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract earlier this month, but it is thought that the deal was only agreed in order to reinforce his asking price.
Torino president Urbano Cairo is reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €30m (£25m) for the defender, which isn’t a sizeable figure considering he is still only 24 years of age.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Bremer in recent months, with many believing his physicality would make him perfectly suited to English football.
Whether United need another centre-back may depend on the future of Eric Bailly. The Ivorian has been tipped to leave Old Trafford due to his limited game time.
